Mesopotamian theology but rather to suggest which ones may have shaped or reflected how the Mesopotamians viewed themselves in relationship to the world around them and especially in connection to their deities. The discussion will focus particularly on what we know about the text so we can determine how widely the ideas in the myth may have been disseminated, who would have known about the text and its contents, how it may have shaped Mesopotamian religious ideas, and how those ideas may have changed
